P.O. Box 14308 - Columbus, Ohio 43214 Quad Rugby is a full contact sport for quadriplegics, or anyone with a quad-like disability. Quad rugby is the fastest growing wheelchair sport in the world! It is played with quad rugby specific manual wheelchairs on an indoor basketball court, with a volleyball. The game uses a combination of basketball and hockey rules.

The Lowriders Quad Rugby Team is currently made up of ten quadriplegics from around the Central Ohio area. They practice at The Ohio State University Larkins Hall on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

The Lowriders are always recruiting new players. Ideally, they would like to carry a full roster of fifteen players. The team would also like to compete in four to five tournaments per year. This year, the 1998-99 season, the Lowriders will attend tournaments in Dayton, North Carolina, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. The goals for this season, besides attending these tournaments, is to qualify for Sectionals and Nationals. There are also plans to organize an annual tournament in Columbus.
